[ELIZABETH CANTERBURY] A stunning, stylish woman, "seductive and savage in turns," she
has a huge heart, but hides that fact. A high-profile defense attorney, Elizabeth is famously tough,
and will go to the wall for her clients, even at great risk to her own life and reputation. Elizabeth is
defending a man suspected of murdering a child -- a case that has sparked the attention -- and
outrage -- of the entire nation. Convinced of her client's innocence -- and she's the only one who
is -- Elizabeth will do anything to give her client a fair shake, including fracture a few rules along
the way. Currently involved in an extramarital affair that causes her great guilt and confusion,

man. Russell's old associate, Williams forced Russell out of his office, but it behooves him to
schmooze with Russell so he can keep tabs on Elizabeth, whom he detests. Currently
prosecuting the case against Ethan Foster, Williams is furious when Elizabeth suggests that his
officers coerced Ethan's confession by withholding his meds. Convinced that his case is openand-
shut, Williams is later flummoxed when Elizabeth turns things around at the eleventh

[ETHAN FOSTER] Caucasian, 30. This shrunken, pale man with darting eyes and a bipolar
disorder is a registered sex offender who did time for statutory rape, even though he was 20 at
the time and in a committed relationship with his 16 year old girlfriend. Tainted for life by that
conviction, Ethan now stands accused of kidnapping a young boy and murdering him in the
woods. Coerced into a confession, he's a convenient scapegoat deflecting suspicion from the real
killer. His only hope is Elizabeth, the only one who believes in him. Ethan makes it clear that, if
he's forced to go to prison again, he will kill himself rather than face the general prison population
as a convicted child murderer...LEAD
[SCOTT JASPER] Caucasian 40's. The murdered boy's father, he's a "mountain of a man,
muscle mass left over from a failed football career." Apparently devastated, Scott has been
leading the search for his son's body ever since his disappearance. A rage-filled autocrat, Scott
has a laundry list of domestic abuse charges that have been swept under the rug during this
case. Furious at Elizabeth's insinuations that he was somehow involved in the murder, he

[JUNIOR MORALES] LATINO 20-34. A veteran of the war in Iraq, Junior is a big Hispanic guy,
balancing on a crutch and a titanium prosthetic leg (his other leg is a stump). With one obvious
glass eye and his face peppered with shrapnel scars, Junior has come home a crippled mess,
and he's honored with a "pity visit" from Mike, whom he's never met. Initially delighted to greet a
fellow marine, Junior has an ebullient, chatty manner, laced with loud black humor. After giving
Mike a fraternal welcome and some sharp advice about survival in Fallujah, Junior's false front of
bravado dissolves, and we see just how broken down he has become. A true casualty of war,
Junior is all-too-real representation of the price we pay to be involved in this particular fight...A

[BOBBY BONELLI] 23-30, fit, handsome, a little street in him, he's fresh out of the police
academy and has just been assigned to the infamous 74th Precinct, nicknamed "Fort Pit" by the
cops who serve there. At the top of his class, Bonelli is an anomaly among this checkered crew,
most of whom were assigned to the 74th as a punishment after various infractions. However, as
we soon learn, Bonelli has been assigned to Fort Pit for an undercover assignment -- namely, to
clean up the notoriously corrupt precinct. Squeaky clean and intensely idealistic, he soon goes
toe-to-toe with the legendary Jack Cade, a highly decorated veteran who clashes violently with
his young colleague. But whether Bonelli will succeed in changing the climate on the force, or
whether the job will ultimately take its toll on his principles -- principles which may be impossibly
high-minded when applied to the harsh realities of his profession -- remains to be seen...SERIES

[JACK CADE] 36-45, this fit and trim police veteran can still run an eight minute mile and bench
press 300 pounds. A legend on the police force, Cade operates out of the infamous 74th precinct
as if it were his own private fiefdom, cutting through red tape and standard operating procedures
as if they were so much garbage to be ignored. Needless to say, Cade's maverick methods put
him at immediate odds with the idealistic young Bonelli, whose respect for authority contrasts
violently with Cade's own iconoclasm. Just who will prevail in this battle of wills, wits and methods

[CAPTAIN GLORIA LEFKOWITZ] 34-48, ALL ETHNICITIES. The captain of the 74th, she's
"attractive but very good at hiding it." Married, with a young son, Lefkowitz hasn't been
dehumanized by the chaos and corruption that surrounds her, and she seems to have acclimated
to the Wild West climate that prevails among her rank and file. However, as we later learn,
Lefkowitz is keenly interested in cleaning up Fort Pit, and will hand-pick the idealistic young

[DON VAN NESS] 24-30, Caucasian or African American, from New York but has a Mid West
feel, tall, fit, wide eyed, naïve, lacks common sense. Rookie of 24, he is a new cop at the 74th
who recently graduated the police academy with his pal, Bonelli. However, whereas Bonelli was
at the top of his class, Van Ness didn't exactly cover himself with glory. Despite that, Van Ness is
determined to make captain by the time he is 30. Unfortunately, his gung-ho attitude isn't backed
up by a lot of common sense. A real character, Van Ness is having his own issues adjusting to
life on the mean streets of the 74th, although he would never admit that fact...SERIES REGULAR
[ANGELA HARDWICK] 26, Hispanic or African American, sexy, this young female cop is
extremely hot -- "in a tough sort of way." As hard-boiled as she is beautiful, Angela was once a
top narc -- but she was putting more blow up her own nose than in the evidence locker....SERIES

[SGT. JIM WESSON] 42, Just one of the 74th's many colorful characters, this veteran police
sergeant is just 42, although he's so puffy and grey that he looks at least 10 years older. Smartmouthed
and abrasive, Wesson has a problem with authority, as reflected by the colorful
Hawaiian shirt he wears in lieu of a uniform. Popping candy instead of the Thorazine he used to
ingest around the clock, Wesson gets into very hot water when he makes a very obvious and very
lethal mistake with an obvious "nutjob" who drops by his desk asking for help...SERIES

This is a Pilot Presentation that will be pitched as a one-hour action/adventure/comedy. It combines the sex
appeal and female bonding of 'Charlie's Angels' with the action and technological gadgetry of 'The A Team'
and 'MacGyver'.
The tone of the show is tongue-in-cheek, with frequently over-the-top situations. But our three leads are
well-rounded, 'real' characters, not caricatures. For the three female leads, training in stage combat and/or
martial arts a plus. All three girls have plenty of sex appeal-- but all-natural, girl-next-door types.
[DAWN WOOLSEY] LEAD / FEMALE / 21-24 / White, liberal, hippy girl w/ strawberry-blonde hair. Smart,
athletic ñ- grew up in the Northeast in a privileged household. Dawn was a double major (Chemistry and
Biology) honors student, and she faithfully believes in science, sometimes to a fault. Her 'special powers' are
in chemistry and engineering, which help in analyzing crime scenes, neutralizing toxic spills, and getting the
girls out of sticky situations.

ranch near Austin, Texas. Southern accent, rides horses, loves animals. Her 'special powers' include
communication with animals. She's a horse whisperer, but with every species of animal. She's the most
naïve of the three characters. She's Dawn's best bud, but she gets frustrated by Dawn's know-it-all attitude.
Sunshine is the trio's fashion adviser, sewing new uniforms and putting together cute accessories.

three girls. She kicks ass!! Her 'special powers' are Brazilian martial arts (spectacular Capoeira moves) and

up in East L.A., but her highly ambitious family eventually made it to Malibu. Mother is Brazilian who turned

[AL TROUTWIG] RECURRING / MALE / 45 to 60 / This kindly older Ranger takes the Girls under his wing
and shows them the ropes. He's lived in the park for decades and knows the land and its creatures like the
back of his hand. 1/2 Native American, 1/2 White.
[GARY/JIM] RECURRING/MALE / 25 to 35 / Other goofy Rangers who are in love with our three main
characters. The madcap adventures often involve the girls saving the guys ó sometimes the other way
around.
STORY LINE: HVPR is about three young women, friends recently graduated from a Vermont liberal-arts
college, who become sexy park rangers at Happy Valley State Park, a fictional state park in Northern
California. Once they become park rangers, the girls learn about the lack of care for the environment and
decide to become eco-crime fighters. They convert the Ranger Station into their eco-headquarters-- part
Batcave, part sorority house-- and design their own sexy uniforms, complete with the signature Happy Valley
Rangers patch. In each episode they confront a villain destroying the environment in one way or another.====..

play by play narrative/commentary on all the action and characters in the play. Role is to die for.

years, Ginger is a high school girl who crashes a college aged party to drink and meet older guys.
She heard about the party from a 'MySpace' type website and drags along her best friend
Maryann. She seems to be a know-it-all when it comes to boys, make-up liquor, and
contraception. A valley girl and fashionista. Dares Maryann to make out with older boy to
disastrous results. Three great scenes.
[MARYANN] FEMALE (ANY ETHNICITY) 18 to play 15. Is a pretty, innocent, virginal high school
girl next door. Could be blonde and blue-eyed. She has never been to a college house party
before and her parents don't know where she is. Maryann is the caboose to Ginger's locomotive.
She gets talked into playing 'Seven Minutes in Heaven' in the bathroom with a college fraternity
guy and it goes way farther than she wants. NO NUDITY, but coerced, compromised love scene.
Implied sex. 3 great scenes, excellent dramatic monologue about losing virginity when not
emotionally/physically ready. Must be comfortable with brief make out scene with guy who tries to
cop a feel of her breast and trick her into sex.

boiling point when no one at the party, including his lady, takes him seriously.

so cool that they have been carjacked on the way to the party. Talks a million miles a minute with
no filter on his brain. Not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, has a moment of sexual
identity crisis when gay party guest hits on him. Comedic skills a plus.
[QUINTON] MALE (ANY ETHNICITY) A fun-loving, sympathetic, gay character who has lost his
lover to AIDS while not knowing his own status. He is being pushed back into the social life by his
best fag hag girlfriend and spends much of the night leaving sad, revealing messages on his
dead boyfriend's answering machines. Ends up making a reluctant pass at a frat brother. Two
scenes and three great monologues. Challenging.
[SPAZZ] MALE (ANY ETHNICITY) 18-35; A complete and total nerd. Looking for interesting
faces/characters here. Awkward with women, really tries too hard to be the life of the party, a
social retard who gets beaten up by the Frat Boys but wins the affections of a lady. Think a young
Robin Williams, Jim Carrey or Pee Wee Herman. Comedic skills a must.

ticked off that her always-shadowing, hanger-on roommate has followed her to the party. Three

college crowd he is hanging out with. He is struggling with his demons and trying to stay sober

1980's Rat Pack film-type or tee vee star who has been through rehab. (You know who you are)
but are open to others. Two great scenes. Intense soul-searching monologue.

Tyler Moore. Naively thinks the best of everyone. A late 20-something who has compromised her

awkward hostess of the party desperately trying to hang on to her youth. A grad school drop out,
she is dating a college frat guy 7 years her junior. She appears thoughout the play and is
arguably the lead character. She is at the center of the surprise twist ending.
STORYLINE: An uninvited guest is trapped at a house party in the bathtub behind the shower
curtain, and becomes privy to powder room politics and is the unwitting witness to two crimes.
Every character has great scenes. Most have killer monologues. Actors should bring headshot

devout Catholic her family believes, but one of Poland's "Hidden Children" - a Jew who escaped
the concentration camps through conversion. When her past is accidentally discovered and
revealed by her favorite granddaughter, she must suddenly endure the rigors of long-suppressed

[JAKE O'KEEFE] Mid-to-late 50s. Think Randy Quaid or less refined Craig T. Nelson. A
Southern, bigoted Redneck with a heart of gold. Jake has 'perma-dirt' under his fingernails, wears
tee-shirts that fit just fine twenty years ago and has a fierce, Irish family pride. He is a good
mechanic, a good Catholic and a good father - just like his Daddy was. He'll be the first one to tell
you his opinion, 'cause yours is prob'ly wrong, but at least he'll offer you a cold brewsky for your
trouble. When he learns that his mother has been living her entire life as a Catholic and hiding her
Jewish identity from him, it turns his world upside-down and he suddenly has to learn how to
shuffle this new deck he's been dealt.
[THIERRY DERÈVE] Early 30s. European/Foreign, drop dead gorgeous, seductively charming,
as well-heeled as his Ferragamo calfskin loafers. Native European accent preferred. He is one of
those charming foreigners women love to love, and no one loves him more than Kathleen
O'Keefe. He's everything she's ever wanted and never had: education, refinement, status,
connections; and when he's with her, he's with her. Problem is, he's not always with her.
[LIEV] Late 20s - Early 30s. Immediately recognizable as Jewish. Liev is handsome in that
constantly disheveled, bookish sort of way. His scruffy beard was probably tidy about three weeks
ago and curls are constantly escaping from under the confines of his yarmulke. He is a learned,
soulful man, quick with a smile and a hot cup of comfort which proves to be well-timed for
Kathleen O'Keefe, but his Conservative Judaism prevents a budding romance with a shiska
goddess.

vitro procedure, as well as his asthmatic 6 month old daughter's medical bills, Randy helped his
brother-in-law Wyatt rob the jewelry store, then double-crossed Wyatt and hid $75,000 in a secret
location. Now Melinda needs Randy's help finding the money or her own life will be at stake.
Single-minded and shifty, Randy wants only to provide for his widow and daughter, and doesn't

succeeded in absconding with a single bag of jewels, Wyatt frames an old drinking buddy, Jones,

a severe asthma attack, and later, Wyatt locks up and threatens Melinda, because he senses she

OTTO FRANK: CAST - Emmy Award-winner Bruce Weitz.
[ANNE FRANK] (15-22 to play Anne from ages 13 to 15). Protagonist of the play, Anne, is forced
into hiding with her family during the Nazi occupation of Holland because they are Jewish. She is
a bright, playful girl whose cheery disposition gives solace and pause to those with whom she is
confined. She is a spirited, optimistic and independent thinking teenager who seeks comfort in
recording her private thoughts and feelings in her diary. We witness Anne’s maturation both
mentally and physically throughout the play’s two-year time frame and her evolving relationships
with her family and Peter Van Daan.
[EDITH FRANK] (35 to 50) Mother to Anne and Margo and wife of Otto. On the surface, a placid
woman, whose focus is the wellbeing of her family. Edith sometimes “suffers in silence” revealing
her thoughts and fears only to Miep, selflessly safeguarding her family from her inner anguish.
When provoked however, like any mother, she strikes - as demonstrated in the scene when Mr.
Van Daan secretly steals bread in the middle of the night.
[MIEP GIES] (28-45) Business colleague of Otto Frank’s who acts as go-between from the
outside world to the occupants of the annex. She is a kind-hearted soul who risks her own safety
to bring sustenance to the families. A generous and loyal confidant.
[PETER VAN DAAN] (16-22 to play ages 16 to 18). A shy and awkward boy, Peter is son to Mr.
and Mrs. Van Daan. He is sensitive and initially nervous, taking refuge in his pet cat, Mouschi. As
the play develops, he finds a friend in Anne and the two become close (even developing an
attraction), on their respective journeys of self-discovery.

[MARGOT FRANK] (15-22 to play ages 15 to 17), older sister of Anne and daughter to Edith and
Frank, Margot is the archetypal “girl next door” -- courteous and well-behaved. She is sweet,
thoughtful and academically intelligent, with a flair for dancing. Margo is closer to her mother than
Anne and is regarded by Anne as the “perfect child.” However, Margo falters under the growing
emotional strain and succumbs to illness.
[MR. KRALER] (40-65) Colleague of Otto Frank’s who helps to run his business and who assisted
in arrangements for the hide-out. Mr. Kraler also acts as go-between, bringing news from the
outside world to the annex and warnings when suspicion arises regarding the bookcase hiding
the annex door. He makes the arrangements necessary for maintaining the families’
concealment. A respectful and loyal friend of the Franks.
[MRS. VAN DAAN] (40-55) Mother of Peter and wife to Mr. Van Daan, she is a self-important
woman who clutches to the memory of her Father and affluent upbringing. She can be petty and
selfish and delights in bickering with her husband. We witness her warmer, more human side in
her speech to Mr. Van Daan about the first time they met.
[MR. VAN DAAN] (45-60) Father to Peter and husband to Mrs. Van Daan, Mr. Van Daan is Otto
Frank’s business partner. He helped Otto when Otto first arrived in Amsterdam and knew no-one,
a debt for which Otto is eternally thankful. Mr. Van Daan is a smoker. He’s a forthright man who
speaks his mind. Often quick to judge and impatient he is deemed to be ill-tempered by his wife;
the two are argumentative. Mr. Van Daan reveals his weaker side succumbing under pressure to
his hunger, in the bread-stealing incident.
[MR. DUSSEL] (35-55) referred to as a quiet and refined man, Mr. Dussel is a Jewish dentist who
joins the group in the annex after appealing to Mr. Kraler for a safe-haven. He lived with
Charlotte, a Christian woman, but became scared and desperate for refuge. An exacting man
whoís a worrier and prone to panic, he values his privacy and so a little friction occurs when he is
forced to share a bedroom with Anne. Oftentimes, he is quick to forget the kindness extended to
him by the group for allowing another body to share in their space and rations.
[FIRST MAN/NAZI OFFICER] (25-40) A gun-wielding officer who, after finding the annex
occupants, discovers Anne, Peter and Margo in the attic.
[SECOND MAN] (25-40) A gun-wielding Dutch-collaborator who holds the annex occupants at
gunpoint following their revelation.
[THIRD MAN] (14 ñ 22) Armed with a black ledger, he is the youngest of the three men and also
a Dutch collaborator. His job is to log the detainees and search for valuables. The Third Man is
responsible for slapping Anne’s diary from out of her hand and onto the annex floor as he ushers
her out of her room.

[DYLAN KRIEGER] Mid 20s. Female, edgy, beautiful and sexy without knowing it, she is a
tomboy that has a sweetness she goes to great lengths to mask. Dylan wants to be a writer but
for now is working as a beleaguered editorial associate at a women's magazine. she has an inyour-
face personality and is compulsively honest , but she's appealing and confused, and honest
enough to realize she's actually vulnerable and manipulative. Dylan lives with two good friends,
Debra and Lisa, and is in love with her neighbor Jed, who's in love with Debra who's involved with
Danny, Jed's roommate. Dylan keeps a blog on the website "quarterlife" in which she candidly but
without malice writes about the people in her life and how they feel about each other--which has
some intense ramifications on the people closest to her...LEAD
[JED] Male, mid 20s, handsome in an offbeat way, intense, artistic, eager, and passionate, Jed's
a former film school student who lives with roommate Danny, his good friend and partner. The
two are ecstatic to learn that they've just landed a job directing their first commercial for a car
company. Jed's happiness is somewhat undercut by his longing for Danny's girlfriend, Debra
(Dylan's roommate); when Dylan writes about this in the "quarterlife" blog, Jed is initially horrified,
but soon discovers that it might just have paved the way for him to connect with Debra (who's
also read the blog). Jed has a bad day when, during an argument during the commercial shoot,
he and Danny come to such an impasse that Danny literally takes over and kicks him off the set,
but Jed manages to forgive him when he discovers Danny has used his ideas after all...LEAD
[DANNY] Male, mid 20s, extremely handsome, confident, smooth but not slick, and much nicer
than he seems. Danny is a film school student who lives with his best friend and partner Jed, and
is overjoyed when he and Jed get their first job directing a car commercial. Romantically involved
with Debra, Danny tries hard to convince her that he doesn't have cold feet about moving in
together, but clearly he's ambivalent. More "real-world" in his approach to their film work than the
intensely artistic Jed, Danny panics when it looks like they won't finish their commercial shoot on
time, and literally takes over the job, kicking Jed off the set. Later, it's clear that this takes a toll on
Danny emotionally (at least, according to his girlfriend Debra, to whom he revealed an
uncharacteristic vulnerability), and he makes a point of showing Jed that he used his idea in the

[DEBRA] Female, mid 20s. Pretty but not glamorous, maternal and nurturing, smart. One of
Dylan's roommates, a good friend since ninth grade, Debra is "a mosaic of a warm and vivid
human being." An intelligent and centered person who suddenly finds herself in the midst of an
identity crisis, she's been there for Dylan for much of their lives, Debra is involved with Danny,
their neighbor from across the hall, who is somewhat ambivalent about Debra's suggestion that
they move in together to take their relationship to the next level. This ambivalence is confusing
Debra, along with the fact that she's just learned (from Dylan's blog) that Jed, Danny's roommate,
partner and friend, is in love with her. Momentarily at odds with Danny, unhappy with her work
situation (she works at her overbearing father's company), Debra suddenly finds herself attracted

[LISA] Female, mid 20s. Dylan's other roommate, a gorgeous young woman who makes men
"become stupid, or stupider" when she walks into a room, Lisa is an actress who's supporting
herself as a bartender. Very upset by what Dylan has written about her in the "quarterlife" blog
(Dylan writes that she drinks more than she should and is "flawed"), she is, ultimately, somewhat
self-destructive. Lisa is further unnerved by a very upsetting session in her acting class, in which
her teacher attacks her for not owning the power of her sexuality. Devastated by what she
perceives as not just a professional but a personal attack, Lisa finds comfort in the company of
her friends, particularly when she's encouraged to get up and sing a karaoke number in the bar,
into which she pours her emotion, her vulnerability, and, clearly, her sexiness...LEAD
[ANDY] Male, mid 20s, a goofball who is smarter than everyone with a dry sense of humor. Andy
is a long-suffering semi-employee of Jed and Danny--a computer nerd with whom they always
seem to be angry--this being their way of showing affection--he's the first to discover Dylan's blog
on the "quarterlife" site, and thinks it's the greatest thing he's ever seen (he's in love with Dylan
himself). Andy works on the commercial with Jed and Danny and is very unnerved when the two

[JOSH] Caucasian, a 38 year old man pretending to be a 17 year old boy on the internet. We will
never see Joshís face on camera, but he is a strong presence in the film. He is tall and wiry and
at times seems completely void of emotion. He is strong though thin, and looks like you would
never look at him twice if you saw him on the street. He can sound sweet and charming one
moment, but turn on a dime. This lead role is very unique in nature. The actor who plays JOSH
will be seen only from behind, in shadows, in silhouette and from angles which do not show his
face. The point is to create an of air mystery about who he really is . . . he could be anyone.
JOSH will, however, be heard in full voice and needs to be an actor with a strong presence.
We're not looking for auditorium projection, but a voice that alternates between charming
seduction and an eerie, creepiness that is cold, calculating and bone-chilling. He needs to
seamlessly flip personalities, as only a sociopath can.
